In a unexpected crossover event that defies usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome transformations resonate through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret cult.
The adventure centers on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Changes
The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Extra Material
Players who finish the adventure will obtain an unique katana alongside multiple objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Latest Free Story Content
This release also brings the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "The Mystery." Loyal to its name, "The Enigma" also features a fresh environmental puzzle that may finally explain some lingering questions from the main storyline.
